Ten members of the Tyne Rivers Trust team successfully completed a relay of the salmon migration route from Tynemouth to Kielder at the weekend, raising almost £2,000 for its Salmon in the Classroom project.

Highest recorded upstream counts for May!

The Riding Mill fish counter recorded 1,373 upstream counts up the  29th May. This is the highest count for May since records began, bringing the count for the year-to-date to 1,697 which is the 2nd highest total recorded for this period.
