Description
The River Rede is the major tributary of the River North Tyne flowing from Carter Bar through the wilds of northern Northumberland, the border country and National Park before finally reaching the North Tyne at Redesmouth. This is a fantastic, and rare, opportunity to fish some of the Catchment’s best water on a day ticket. The beat from Cottonshope Burn confluence down to the Forest Drive is a good mix of fishing with the possibility of catching brown trout and the occasional sea trout after a good run.

Directions – Follow the brown ‘Forest Drive’ tourist sign off the A68 3.5 miles north of Rochester. Follow the road around and park after you cross the river.
