Simone leads Tyne Rivers Trust’s engagement work, inspiring communities, children, and individuals to safeguard the River Tyne and its tributaries for the benefit of people, wildlife, and our natural world. She manages and coordinates community engagement efforts, oversees the delivery of the Trust’s education program, and serves as an accredited Riverfly Tutor and the Riverfly Hub Coordinator the Trust. Simone also provides oversight for the Trust’s volunteer monitoring programs.
Simone has worked in conservation for many years. She was previously the volunteer coordinator and project officer at Tyne Rivers Trust, and has had previous roles at Durham Wildlife Trust and Wear Rivers Trust.
She has a degree in Art and Design from York St John University College, and has used her passion to create the artwork for the Trust merchandise which is sold to raise valuable funds for our work.
