Surfers Against Sewage River Clean up at Monkton Burn

We’re joining with SurfersAgainstSewage to host an autumn beach and river clean up at Monkton Burn on Thursday 25th October from 10.30am-2.30pm. It’s a drop-in event so come for as little or long as you can.

We will be getting in the river to remove all the debris so wellies are a must! It is weather dependent so if river levels are high we will be restricted to a path side litter pick.

Meet at Luke’s Lane estate bus stop, Morecambe Parade, Marine Drive, NE31 2AH

It is a follow up from the Big Spring Beach Clean which mobilised 35,500 volunteers over 571 beaches across the UK and helped clean up 63 tonnes of rubbish – let’s see if we can beat it!
