We’re Hiring: Communications Manager
We are hiring a part-time Communications Manager to join the team. Your priority will be to communicate our important messages and work so that they are understood, supported and accessible to all. This may be through multi-media campaigns, supporting the team at project events or coordinating with The Rivers Trust and local Rivers Trusts on regional and national issues.
The global pandemic and the increasing frequency and impact of extreme weather events have highlighted the importance of our environment and how we chose to live within it. We know what we do is vital (and not always easy) but we need someone to help us spread the word to as many people as possible! We are looking to recruit an experienced Communications Manager on a 30 hours per week, permanent contract to drive awareness of our work. You will have a professional, positive attitude and flexible approach to creative and inspiring communication.
Travel across the Tyne Catchment for events, meetings and remote site visits will be required in this role, so a clean driving license is essential. The role requires working outdoors occasionally, in locations with difficult access and in poor weather conditions. Specialist PPE kit will be provided by TRT.
Please contact TRT’s CEO, Dr. Ceri Gibson, on 07939 318021 or c.gibson@tyneriverstrust.org for more information or an informal discussion about the role.
