T: 07513 721766
E: e.starkey@tyneriverstrust.org

Eleanor is a Hydrologist; she completed a PhD at Newcastle University which combined citizen science with flood risk monitoring, modelling and management. The PhD enabled Eleanor to work with communities within the Tyne Catchment, including working on the Trust’s Haltwhistle Burn project.

She has further experience working at the National Green Infrastructure Facility researching and demonstrating nature-based solutions.

As Catchment Project Manager at the Trust, Eleanor is working on the North East Catchments Hub to identify and deliver nature-based solutions across all catchments in the North East. As part of this, she is working on a project with the Catchment Systems Thinking Cooperative (CaSTCo) to develop a site that showcases best practise for the collection of data through citizen science.
