Watersmeet is where the North Tyne joins with the South Tyne. The beat stretches for 1km from the marker post below Warden Gorge to 80m below the Junction pool of the River Tyne.

Dates available – 22nd March – 8th May

Rules – Trout anglers must give way to  salmon anglers.  Trout fishing is by fly only, all fish to be returned. All fish caught must be reported.

Upstream limit – the marker post below Warden Gorge, for approximately 1km.

Downstream limit – 80 mtrs below the Tynes Junction Pool

Where to Park – Car  parking is on the left of Howden Lane prior to the Quarry entrance.

Directions -Travelling west from Hexham take the first right from the A69 leading to Acomb village , the left onto Howden Lane . Car  parking is on the left of Howden Lane prior to the Quarry entrance.
