Description
The North Tyne, one of the two sources of the River Tyne, is famous as a Salmon river. Flowing downstream from Kielder dam, its course carries it through beautiful countryside. This is a beautiful location with some excellent fishing.

Upstream limit – The vegetated gravel shore upstream of the car park at Cuddies Loop
Downstream limit – The fence line upstream of the Riverdale Hall Hotel
Where to Park – Parking is on the roadside at Cuddies Loop or at the end of the track across the field. There is also parking on the roadside on the right side of the river.

Directions – The right bank is accessed down the first turning south of Bellingham bridge, signed for ‘Kielder Organic Meats’ and two National Cycle routes. To reach the left bank, turn off the B6320 just north of Bellingham bridge onto the C200 Kielder road and proceed for 1.5km.
