OUTDOOR SCIENCE LESSONS RULE

It has been fantastic to welcome children back to outdoor education sessions.

Our thanks to Ray Wind Fund for funding which has allowed us to help Northumberland schoolchildren access their local burn to learn about the lifecycle of the invertebrates that live there.

Simone Price, My Tyne Project Officer at the Trust says: “It’s fantastic to be able to show children what is in their local river and allow them to see invertebrates up-close while learning about their lifecycle.

“The feedback from both pupils and teachers has been really positive, you can see the enjoyment children get from being outdoors and engaging in science in a practical way.”
